International Drive Orlando

Located within 15 miles (24 kilometers) from the Orlando International Airport off the Interstate 4 is the International Drive resort area (I-Drive). A must visit destination for any visitor to Orlando, I-Drive resort area is noted for its high concentration of hotel chains, major Orlando theme parks, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure.

The Orange County Convention Center which happens to be the second largest convention center in the United States is also located on International Drive.

If you’re planning to visit any of the hundreds of attractions, restaurants, hotels, and shops on International Drive, leave the car at the hotel and take the I-Ride trolley. Taking an I-Ride Trolley is one of the most convenient and least expensive ways to explore the International Drive Resort Area of Orlando. With about twenty stops on International Drive, the I-Ride Trolley stops at all the major sights and can save you a lot traffic headache.

ICON Park

ICON Park is Orlando's family entertainment destination. A walkable entertainment complex ICON Park is an open-air retail, dining and entertainment district with some of the newest dining and entertainment options in the area. ICON Park is anchored by the The Wheel at ICON Park, an iconic 400-foot tall observation wheel at the heart of the ICON Park entertainment complex, that provides breathtaking views of Central Florida in all directions. On a clear day, you can see as far as Cape Canaveral on the east coast.

Parking at ICON Park is free and gives you access to The Wheel at ICON Park, Madame Tussauds Orlando wax museum, the Orlando StarFlyer and Sea Life Orlando Aquarium.

The iconic 400-foot tall Wheel at ICON Park is the tallest observational wheel on the United States East Coast. Each of the 30 glass-enclosed capsules unveil broad views of the City of Orlando and beyond. Hop on board for 23-minutes of breathtaking views of Central Florida in all directions, with sights of downtown Orlando's skyline, nearby theme parks, lakes and lush landscape, and on a clear day, views of the Kennedy Space Center on Florida's east coast.

Directions to ICON Park

From Walt Disney World:
–Take I-4 East/North to Sand Lake Rd. (Exit 74A). Turn right and proceed two blocks to International Drive. Turn right on International Drive and proceed three blocks to main entrance and garage parking on left.

From Downtown Orlando:
— Take I-4 West/South to Sand Lake Rd. (Exit 74A). Turn left and proceed three blocks to International Drive. Turn right on International Drive and proceed three blocks to main entrance and garage parking on left.

From Cocoa Beach/Orlando International Airport:
–Take 528/Beachline Expy East to Universal Blvd (Exit 2). Turn right and proceed 2.7 miles to entrance and garage parking on left.

From Universal Orlando:
–Take Universal Blvd. South 1.7 miles to entrance and garage parking on right.

i-Ride Trolley:
ICON Park is conveniently accessible riding the trolley. Use the Red Line North Bound to Trolley Stop #17. Trolley hours are daily, 8am to 10:30pm.

WonderWorks Orlando

WonderWorks is Orlando's only upside-down attraction. An amusement park for the mind that features more than 100 hands-on interactive exhibits for people of all ages. Directions to WonderWorks
WonderWorks is located adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center. To get there, take:
I-4 to exit 72 (Beeline Expressway) or exit 74 (Sand Lake Road, S.R. 482).
From exit 72, take the Beeline east 1/2 mile and exit north onto International Drive.
From exit 74, take Sand Lake Road east 1/4 mile and turn south onto International Dr. WonderWorks is easily identifiable by its upside-down, 82 foot tall exterior.

Tip: Paid Parking is available in the Pointe Orlando garage behind WonderWorks.

Getting Around Orlando International Drive
I-Ride Trolley Orlando

The I-Ride Trolleys serve the popular International Drive Resort area year-round, seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. with scheduled stops every 20 minutes.

The I-Ride Trolleys operate two routes. The Red Line Trolley route which services the International Drive both north and south bound and Green Line Trolley route which travels along Universal Boulevard and then shadows the Red Line Trolley Route on South International Drive. Overall the two routes has 107 stops and are designated with numbered "I-Ride Trolley" location markers.
